The Pu`u Kukui Elementary School Student Community Council (SCC) is currently seeking candidate nominations for Parent Representatives and a Community Representative to the SCC. Self nominations are welcome.
Participating on the School Community Council (SCC) is a rewarding experience for all those who value the opportunity to make a difference in public education. In 2004, the Hawaii State Legislature created School Community Councils (SCC). The SCC serves as an advisory body that works with the Principal on the school's Academic and Financial Plan. The SCC focuses on improving student achievement. The SCC is comprised of the Principal, one faculty member, one staff member, one student, three parent representatives, and one community representative. Meetings are held monthly during the school year and are open to the public.
Nominations should be sent to Chad Okamoto, Principal ([email protected]) by Thursday, March 31, 2016. For more information, contact Okamoto at (808) 727-3000.
